Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about coaching, pricing, finding the right fit, and how 15 Summers supports your parenting journey.

What is parenting coaching?

Parent coaching is personalized, 1:1 support from an experienced professional who helps you navigate the challenges of raising kids without shame or judgment. It’s not therapy, and it’s not a one-size-fits-all program. It’s collaborative, practical, and focused on your goals.

How is this different from therapy?

Therapists treat mental health conditions and diagnose. Coaches don’t. Instead, they offer real-world tools, emotional validation, and guidance tailored to your parenting goals. Many parents use coaching alongside other forms of support.

Who are the coaches?

Our coaches are vetted professionals with deep experience in parenting education, early childhood development, family systems, or related coaching certifications. Many have advanced training in areas like trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, or positive discipline.

What kinds of issues can coaches help with?

Parents come to us for help with everything from daily challenges—like tantrums, screen-time struggles, and bedtime battles—to deeper concerns around emotional regulation, anxiety, sibling conflict, and strong-willed behavior.

We also support families through big transitions: school changes, international moves, new siblings, separation or divorce, and the shifting dynamics of the tween and teen years. Many parents seek guidance on setting boundaries, fostering independence, and staying connected as their kids grow.

Whether you're parenting a toddler or a teenager, you’ll find a coach who gets it.

How do I choose the right coach?

You can browse coaches by your child’s age, needs, or your preferred coaching style. Every coach offers a free discovery call so you can ask questions and see if it’s a good fit.

How much does it cost?

Each coach sets their own rate, usually between $50 and $150 per session. Your first intro call is always free, so you can see if it’s a good fit before booking.

We know it’s not always easy to spend money on parenting support, especially when it’s not something most of us grew up with. But many families find that coaching offers real, lasting impact — not just for the parent, but for the whole household. It’s one of those rare investments that can bring more calm, connection, and clarity to everyday life.

Do you accept insurance?

No, coaching is not covered by insurance. All sessions are paid out of pocket, and each coach sets their own rate.

Do I have to commit to a certain number of sessions?

Nope. Many families start with just one or two sessions. Others meet weekly. It’s completely flexible and up to you.

Do kids join the sessions?

No—this coaching is just for parents and caregivers. We support families with kids of all ages, from newborns to strong-willed toddlers, moody tweens, and independent teens. But the focus is on you—your questions, your growth, and what’s going on in your home. It’s your space to get support, reflect, and figure out what works for your family.

Can I gift coaching to someone else?

Yes! Coaching makes a meaningful, supportive gift for new parents, overwhelmed friends, or grandparents stepping in to help.
